Case Study – Zolfo Cooper

Zolfo Cooper Europe is a leading international provider of corporate advisory and restructuring services with offices in the UK, USA and the Caribbean.

Working with the main contractor Opus 4, Manchester, our brief was to provide cost-effective solutions to the heating, cooling and ventilation of the company’s new prestigious Manchester city centre offices.

Working within the confines of an existing layout, consisting of a HVAC system using chilled beams, we re-engineered the chilled beam set up and control strategy and added supplementary heat pump systems.

Due to the specialized nature of the building, all the additional heat pump equipment had to be kept within the office suite which required a bespoke, water-cooled heat pump system that would not compromise the nature of the office environment.

Additional works included ventilation modifications and plumbing works to the kitchen and toilet areas of the office suite.
